This scene reminds me of one from the Dutch TV movie #JustFriends where #Joris and #Yad hang out at a cafe and get harassed by a couple of #gaybashers. Yad is used to it and tells Joris to ignore it; Joris gets up and beats their asses--this puts Yad off completely.

First time seeing a #German interacting with the character from their folklore known as #Jews, I take it, if you think this response is surprising or a "burn" rather than a very tired cliche.
There are precisely three possibilities:
1. His grandparents and their specific actions, by name, are memorialized in detail at #Yad Vashem. In which case, he got what he wanted but is ranting about Jews anyways.
