Communicated for the first time with my new #YALI mentee. It’s a leadership program for young African leaders and I have served as a virtual #mentor for several years. He is a young man named Michael from Kilimanjaro Tanzania. He already asked for sample resumes and help writing a #Fulbright application. He seems ambitious and eager to access opportunities for growth. I’m excited to get to know him and support his journey.

I got matched with a new #YALI mentee from #Tanzania today- so excited to meet them and support their leadership journey. YALI was started in 2010 by Barack #Obama to educate and #network young leaders in #Africa. They have an amazing alumni network on #LinkedIn which is how I have connected with many of my #Global partners. Great way to have an #impact through #mentoring

#YALI is seeking mentors for their next cohort. This is a great program started by the Obama administration that cultivates both entrepreneurial and civic leaders. When asked how I connect with my project partners I always refer to the YALI program and Alumni Network. This is a highly rewarding and impactful opportunity to mentor.
