Nice I finally have #Yambar 1.10.0 on #VoidLinux and have updated my dots accordingly to use the new poll-interval for the battery, network and scripts which has changed from seconds to milliseconds. Also you can now use tilde expansion in the scripts.
Thanks to @tranzystorek_io for putting in the PR on void-packages.
Can't wait for the latest release of #Yambar 1.10.0 to hit #VoidLinux :void: 😍
Thought it was about time that I changed my wallpaper now that I'm using #RiverWM and #Yambar on #VoidLinux . Absolutely loving this combo too ! ❤️
Hopefully rewritten my void-updates script for #Yambar and this time it'll work. But before pushing to git I'm going to wait for an update to appear. Thing is when you don't need updates they come thick and fast like busses but when you'd like one to prove that you've finally gotten the back of issues with your script there's nothing. 🙃
Put in a feature request to the #Yambar repo to allow the use of $USER and $HOME variables in the script modules path instead of just hand written absolute style. It would make it more flexible for sharing configs that are stored in a users home directory.Fingers and toes crossed.
Haha I've finally got a work around for my void-updates script on #Yambar so if there are updates and I click on the icon shown it opens foot to do the updates and then exits followed by refreshing the Yambar so essentially resetting the updates available to zero so no icon is then displayed.
Took me a minute or two but I got there in the end.
Dots are below if anyone is interested and I know that's not an up to date screenshot yet. 😜

Right now we're cooking !
I've canned #Waybar and have successfully gotten #Yambar configured and running via #Kanshi . This allows me to undock my laptop and Kanshi will run my script that counts how many screens are connected and kills or starts the relevant Yambar on each screen.
Now to start customising the bar to my liking and maybe witting another couple of scripts for it too.

[ Update ]
Turns out it was an ID10T error aka me. 🙃
In #Yambar <=1.9.0 the poll-interval is in seconds but after that release they are in milliseconds hence why the battery status never updated.
You live and learn.
Big thanks to @dnkl for clearing that up and for an amazingly light status bar.
So wanting to love #Yambar and have most of it working how I like with the exception of the battery modules poll-interval doesn't seem to work. If I quit yambar and start it again the battery status updates but only on start up.
I think I'll script it myself as that'll work for sure.
Also I wish there was a way to update the variables that are displayed on the fly say from an on click option.

Having a crack at #Yambar to see how I like it just because. If I can get it to look similar to what I already have with waybar and for less ram then I'm sold.
This could take me a while.... 😂
Update on #yambar since I managed to have some headspace to rice my system today:
This may look like a standard status bar to you. However!!
I didn't configure the window tags (upper left) to work correctly with #sway before, so windows with content were not shown. Now we can see windows 1 & 3 have stuff in them (different color).
Also managed to get battery to show charging state (showing CC: charging) instead of just a generic battery label.
Will upload to git later
