Oggi, nel tragitto casa-ufficio ho fatto i 32,6 km.lt.

Ormai non mi stupisco più, visto che i miglioramenti proseguono giorno dopo giorno ed infatti oggi la lettura del Computer di Bordo (CdB) indica un consumo medio di 25,8 km/lt. e dopo l'ultimo "pieno", l'autonomia stimata dal CdB è di 822 km. (+ 11 km dal precedente) rispetto ai 696 iniziali.

Had a mad few days but managed to have a really productive weekend a friend allowed me to use his lift in the garage and I got the Tein springs on the little GR Yaris, love how much of a difference they have made from just a small drop.

The ride is just as comfortable and it now looks a lot better, got a few more items on the list to check off yet but very happy currently ☺️

I don't believe it - after 2 days of contorting into the driver's footwell of my Yaris, and feeding through, stripping, and attaching connectors to wires which I could barely see, taking phone pics of inaccessible areas, and trying to convert them to a mental map of the hidden 3D space up behind the dashboard, thinking how this was actually 🧑‍🔧Fun🧑‍🏭 to me when I was 40 years younger, when you didn't have to wonder if there was any way to inadvertently set off an airbag,
I did the last connection, THEN found the clips which released the panel which I have been constantly and vehemently cursing as I worked around it!

The blocking panel just detaches, and voilà, it's like the engineers meant for the car to be easy to work on🤦‍♂️

<deeeep breath>

Looks like I'll have to connect that last, optional wire that I wasn't going to bother with, now that everything is suddenly so open, and accessible, and easy to see, and trivial to get at …

but I'll do that *after* my session of rhythmically banging my head on my desk.

Show prying tool to car, to let it know you are Serious!

Adopt mindset of uncaring mechanic who doesn't own this car.

Think to self "I've had these car accessories follow me from house to house to house, unfitted, for nearly 30 years. Maybe I should wait another decade before I fit them"

Andata a 115/120 kmh. con controllo velocita' adattivo e consumo di 18,5 km./lt.

Ritorno a 110 kmh. con controllo velocita' adattivo e consumo di 21,4 km./lt.

I've just realised that what I've been thinking was part of my car's bonnet release, isn't - I'm guessing it's a sensor of some kind.

Don't be too harsh, it's only taken me 9 years to go, "Hang on, you have to pull a cable to pop the bonnet, not press a switch, so those wire disappearing under that shield are *nothing* to do with the bonnet opening"

I do have a theory, and I'm googling with my other hand, but does anyone know what this circled item is?

In my #Yaris, the climate controls don't have any tactile indicators for their position, so I made these rings with a feelable bump. The orange ones are a racing colour to make the mighty Yaris go faster, the centre one is a glow-in-the-dark filament.
