That's what was left from a 600 m / 100 g ball of yarn. 2.4 m or 0.4 g.

My latest #knitting is finished, all ends woven in. It now just waits for its turn in the washing machine.

Dropped into #bendigowoollenmills last week and found this gorgeous #variegated #purple 100% #australian #merino #wool #8ply #yarn. Being in the #bargain section, the three balls they had were it, and so not enough to make a #handknit #jumper (#sweater ) or #cardigan without playing #yarnchicken, so fell back to my default of #knitting #socks. Being so sidt, thick and #lush, they'll be perfect for my friend, Laura, who finds the bitter #chill of #winter in #Victoria almost unbearable.

They're knitting up very quickly on my #KnitPro #Zing #Interchangeables using #magicloop #2atatime (to avoid SSS - #SecondSockSyndrome) and the #fishlipskiss sock #pattern.

I suspect these will be the first of many I'll be knitting.

Uh... while searching for worsted weight yarn in the stash, I found this project that I bound off, wove in the ends . but never blocked or wore. CABLES AND BOBBLES! I sweated every one of those stitches and was in a heated game of Yarn Chicken right to the end... and just.. forgot about it?

I'm making myself a colourful hooded #crochet scarf with #pockets by #WickedlyHandmade out of yarn friends have given me over the last year. I was feeling so sick and crummy that it's basically going to be a wearable hug from my people. I've 6 more rows to do before I add the hood and pockets. #YarnChicken update:

This is my third attempt at the final round of this pompom. If I run out of yarn yet again, I am giving up and just yanking the row and turning it into gloves or something. But this thing looks so good with the extra round.

Also, note to self: pin this thing on BEFORE you cut the yarn, just to make sure it's not ridiculously heavy.

I made it! #YarnChicken Thank goodness for toe-up socks and only risking frogging a bit of cuff.

Heavyweight socks eat so much yarn! Fortunately, these ones are made with miniskeins, so it was easier to get a full-height sock. I have very long feet, so all my other thick socks are kind of short, but these are going to be fantastic for keeping my feet warm all winter! 😁
