Hi Derek,
I just saw this post today, via your #WaterfallWednesday post from today (nice!). Regarding our #VeloViewer stats: I find it interesting to compare our 2022: I did about 1/2 as many km as you, but with about the same amount of elevation gain. Is probably due to our country of the #Alps. 😅 Attached also my 2021. I wish you continued accident-free rides and have fun!
Greetings & a „ride on!“ from #Switzerland 🇨🇭 to 🇨🇦

My 2022 recap from #YearInSport!
A few statistics for my exercise activities in 2022, courtesy of #strava .
The #rides indicated were on a #kickbike / #footbike .
I exercised on 281 days of the year, which put me in the top 2% of Strava users by number of days active. Not bad considering I did little exercise for a few months while recovering from a knee injury at the start of May.

As many people know, 2022 was a tough year, but I made it through. I did more running than I ever thought possible for me, and I enjoyed it more than I expected.
I am looking to push myself further (and hopefully farther as well) this year. I’ve joined the Spa Pacers’ Grand Prix team, so I’ll be out running more races all over the state. I’ve got a goal of at least 10 races this year and 600 miles.
Here’s to 2023 being a better year.

This year the share of cyclists with at least one 100 mile ride increased by 22% globally. The country with the biggest increase was the UK. Want to know where your country ranked? See the entire #YearInSport: https://www.strava.com/yis-community-2022

I love the 2022 recap from #YearInSport!
It's funny, I think #Strava is my social network of choice right now.
It has all the dark addictive patterns, except the result is more sports, so that's a win! ⛰️
Here's to a new year where I hope that all the months will look like the end of 2022!

In 2022 I ran 305 miles in 83 runs, averaging 3.7mi per run. In all, I ran 46h 20m averaging a 9:07 min/mile pace. I was recovering from COVID at the start of the year and it took me until mid April to get back in the saddle fitness-wise. Compare that with my 588 miles in 2021. I'm off to a better start for 2023 with a speedy 10K already in the books and a #HalfMarathon next weekend. #runner #running #racing #yearinsport #Strava

2022 was not a good year from a fitness perspective.
Time to put it behind me, and keep motivated in 2023!
