I am trying to work on a title still... I don't want to get to cought up in the minutiae of it all, but what I realize I am missing is some concept of order/control. Like my life's a mess, so I want to focus on u messing things. Stop reacting to things and being more proactive. Like doing laundry because it's laundry day, not because it's been two weeks and I am out of underwear - that type of stuff.

My theme for 2023 is "The Year of Less"

Never heard of a #YearlyTheme? They're an alternative to New Year's resolutions c/o CGP Grey that actually work. Instead of setting an arbitrary, rigid goal without knowing what the year ahead has in store, a theme is adaptable, functioning as a north star to help you navigate life's uncertainty.

For me, "The Year of Less" will be about making decisions about what I need less of in my life, and by corollary, what I need more of!

My #yearlytheme, The Year of Retreat, was a big success. Blog post coming Monday.

It's that time of year again. I'm thinking about 2023's #yearlytheme.

I'm certainly pushing for something that gets me creating more and building on my existing creative interests.

What's everyone thinking for their theme?

Distraction Free Twenty Free

- Removing most social apps from my phone, increasing the effort required to doom scroll or check Reddit just before bed.
- Removing myself from drama that is not my problem (eg arguments over Discord, problems at work that don't belong to my department)

By doing these I should have more time to spend on things that matter to me... health, hobbies, time with my wife!
