Went and attempted to activate k9222 this weekend but didn't have any luck. 5w QRP with coil loaded vertical is tough. Made 6 contacts so not a total loss. Made a too.

Ordered another DigiRig for my FT-817 today. interesting note. they sell combined and short cables now. super excited for my backpack on my FT817. less wires, less mess. alittle less weight.

L.A. Simplex net with @alrs. Bicycle transport. 1/2W on 70CM FM made it all the way to San Diego. 817 + roll up J-Pole on a collapsable fishing pole. 2M SSB net immediately after.
