On the first day of Christmas, my true love gave to me this “drinks by the dram” wonderful world whisky advent calendar. Day 1 - Starward Fortis Single Malt Whisky. Bottled at 50% alc/vol. My reaction to the first sip was “wow, oaky” and a slight pepper note. Tonight’s dram is the wonderful Bridgeland Distillery Taber Corn Straight Berbon. At 47.5 ABV it has just enough spice in the front and a smooth finish in the back. Very tasty dram.
