We are off for a gander to Holy Island this morning and to see some old rocks and standing stones.

The town was crawling with tourists which can only be a good thing.

These dark cloudy skies yesterday were just the start of storm Betty. She's been blowing away all night but we're safe in our solid little cottage. We've had far worse than this here. It's stood since the 18th century and has seen everything that storms can throw at it. They certainly knew how to build things years ago. They understood how to work with the landscape and the direction of the winds etc. Modern housebuilders could learn a lot. #beach #LandSeaSky #YnysM么n #Cymru #Wales

#Happy #Sunday from the glorious and deeply calming island of #YnysM么n.
The sun is trying to peep out from between the scurrying clouds as they bluster and blow themselves across this rich and verdant land.
These are the ancient ridges of the island's highest places called Mynydd Bodafon.
An impressive array of pink quartzite and other beautiful pale grey rocks.
Ancient Bronze Age settlements cluster around the sides of these places, along with some standing stones hidden in the trees.
