For my ML-powered predator detection program:

I absolutely don't want to label tens of thousands of images manually, so these past weeks (lol, yea weeks) I've been trying to make a custom #ML backend for #selfhosted #labelStudio, using #yoloV8.

I've gotten it to return predictions somehow, but am struggling with making the backend do model training.

Do y'all have any bright ideas?

#yolov8 made it really easy for me to train a swastika detector. This will be a great tool.

Some exciting tests with #yolov8 #AI #objectdetection for mapping #beaver dams and lodges in #Alaska on #aerial #imagery with ~5-10 cm GSD.

Quite promising results for now.
