Den Blick vom #GlacierPoint über das #YosemiteValley mit den #YosemiteFalls ganz links, dem #NorthDome in der Mitte und dem #HalfDome rechts werde ich nie vergessen.

Um die gewaltigen Dimensionen einordnen zu können: die Yosemite Falls (links), haben eine Fallhöhe von insgesamt 740 Metern.

Yosemite Falls in California is the tallest waterfall in North America and it is such a beautiful sight. I love to sit out in the meadow near the Merced River and just immerse myself in the beauty all around.

Yosemite Falls In the Summer

My favorite place on the Planet, Yosemite National Park. One thing I don't normally go there is in the middle of summer.
The crowds were horrendous. But I understand why. The park was absolutely gorgeous. Temps were mid 70's, the falls were still flowing strong and people are rafting on the Merced River. Yosemite Falls in Black and White III

I could sit for hours watching this waterfall and listening to the powerful force of water as it drops and cascades of the mountain.
Pictured here is Yosemite Falls and the main hiking trail that takes you up to the base of the falls.

Waterfall Glow

I've been to Yosemite Valley many times. I've spent hours at the bottom of Yosemite Falls watching as the water crashes down onto the rocks and boulders laying at the base of the falls.
This was the first time that I was able to see the rainbow at the very bottom of the lower falls. Upper and Lower Yosemite Falls at night from Cook's Meadow 27 January 2023. A7R f/2.8 15sec ISO6400 28mm. Even though a partial moon lighted part of the north valley wall and the meadow, it was still too dark for me to see the white falls. I was able to capture this image during the late winter early in the morning so the crowds were low and I was able to set up in the middle of the sidewalk.
The tall Douglass Firs frame the lower falls on both sides. The tops of trees further into the image further frame the falls.
