“She’s doing the same as she did yesterday” said the sailor, surprised that once again his boat obeyed the laws of physics, when backing out of the slip next to mine. Thankfully I’d got up when I heard them readying to leave, so was able to fend off.
Manoeuvring in marinas is tricky, especially with a big boat you’re not used to - but if wind and prop walk mean your boat wants to reverse all the way out, go with it.
