For email however, would it be wiser if someone simply used a free forwarding alias (I know Google Domains provides up to 100 per domain) under their control instead of using #YouID email address‽
That said, we do need to take back more control of our digital lives online!

Custom Handshake?
Credentials in my public profile doc are looked-up and matched to equivalents in my locally held #X509 cert, following completion of the conventional handshake.

We are finalizing a new release of our @youid browser extension that includes a major new #LinkInBio feature that helps users acquire more control over their digital profile and associated #Identity #Authenticity.
Items contained in the ZIP bundle generated by YouID include: an #HTML based profile doc, #PKCS12 credentials bundle, #vCard, #QRCode, etc.
