I actually did it.
I spent all afternoon working on this. This is my new #StarTrek #Voicemail greeting, which I'll likely upload to #YouMail at some point.

Sometimes I wonder if I'm too much of a #StarTrek nut. I have #YouMail, which lets me record as many greetings as I like. And while doing nothing really, I somehow came up with an idea for a greeting, playing over the #STTNG theme.
"Voicemail. The final line of communication. These are the words of Jesse's mailbox. It's mission. To collect the names and numbers of those who wish to contact him. To expedite communication. To boldly deliver an experience like no other voicemail."
Send help, maybe?

@caspian I should really follow more of those. #Tech is a big one of mine. Always itching to learn about rarely talked about services. #WorldCommunityGrid and #YouMail, for one. I don't know why they're not more widely talked about. They change the name of their respective games, really. One advances science, the other makes your voicemail more fun than it's ever been.

Sometimes I wonder how technology stalls so badly. Think about it. The basic concept of #Voicemail has been around for over twenty years, at least. Since then, it hasn't changed. But then I see services like #YouMail, which let you record custom greetings depending on who's calling and I wonder how more people haven't heard of this. It's so much fun!
Oh, and it can deal with #robocalls too.
