Anyone remember the Graphic Adventure Creator?

Originally made for the #Amstrad #CPC, my experience of it was from a #YourSinclair covertape.

Anyway, it's been on my list to attempt porting it to #Psion #EPOC16 for ages. It's not top priority, but the machine is perfectly designed for playing #textadventure games (see @root42's escapades with #Infocom).

Be great if it could decompile and play old games, too.

As a kid, I was a fiend for magazines. There was no internet, and you could count on one hand the number of other kids that were into what I was. Magazines provided a (slightly delayed) glimpse into what was new and cool.

The first computer magazine I ever bought was #YourSinclair April 86. So, in a fit of nostalgia, I just picked up a copy of that same issue from eBay.

Man, it's so evocative. Every yellowed page seems so familiar to me. The adverts, the listings, the reviews...

30 years ago, after spamming Your Sinclair with stuff, I finally got something published in Program Pitstop. Never did get a YS badge though.

It's a very simple RLE compression routine, but I was very proud of it at the time.
