You’re absolutely right, and I think the whole federation/banning/blocking thing is going to be one of the biggest challenges that Mastodon is going to have to work out.
I’ve already seen someone who’s gotten banned on their instance because a stalker followed them over to Mastodon and posted fake reports. They’re one of the #yourslipisshowing pioneers so, enemies who’re willing to sockpuppet? Yep
I wouldn’t of known if they hadn’t mentioned it on 🐦.
