I didn't realize Downtown #Ypsilanti was getting this wild, but to be fair, I haven't spent many late nights there since the pandemic mortally wounded the local burlesque scene.

If *public defecation* is a problem downtown, I would humbly suggest they bring back some of the pandemic-era portable toilets.

It appears the sirens I think of as #Ypsilanti's sirens are actually #washtenawcounty sirens, which can be sounded for other purposes (like "an attack on the United States is imminent") with the assumption residents will check the radio for details. A thought-provoking follow-up about the #mauifires -- their government didn't sound the emergency sirens because they thought people would interpret the alarm as a tsunami warning and run *towards* the fire. If I'm tagging local posts #Ypsilanti, but someone more casual is tagging posts #Ypsi, and someone more formal is tagging posts #YpsilantiMI, we end up with three groups of people not talking to each other, or people filling the footer of every post with multiple similar tags.
