I finished #Yumi and The Nightmare Painter by #BrandonSanderson. I loved it! One of my favorite #cosmere books for sure. I feel like the romance felt a bit abrupt but it won me over in the end. The world building, as always, was a delight. And the illustrations were jaw-droppingly gorgeous. This would make a decent entry point for new readers, though they will miss the many cosmere connections. If you read it, what did you think?

Finished Brandon Sanderson's Yumi and the Nightmare Painter the other day and it was very enjoyable. So far I've loved each of the secret projects for different reasons, but this one is my current favorite.

I just finished #YumiAndTheNightmarePainter last night, and was blown away. I've been a fan of anime and other Eastern media for a while, and seeing #BrandonSanderson masterfully weave a #Cosmere story with that setting was a delight.

Started #YumiAndTheNightmarePainter, not my favourite opening to a #Sanderson novel but I have some interest. #Fantasy

I wasn’t sure I was really in the mood to engage with #BrandonSanderson ‘s new book when it came out at 7pm local time, but I figured I’d read the first chapter to get a feel for what it was about.

It’s now 2am, I’ve finished the book, but I have not yet finished crying.
