Today I gave #zakat al Fitr. It is the charity given in the last days of Ramadan to benefit the poorest people so that they will also be able to have enough to celebrate the Eid al Fitr holiday at the end of Ramadan. It is incumbent on each Muslim who is financially stable enough not to be a recipient. The head of the household will typically pay for each family member, adult or child.

It is a small amount per person, but it goes a long way.
