My friend Joyce shared this sweet pic she took of her rescue chihuahua mix Binky peeking out from under her jacket as she stood at the convenience store freezer, pondering ice cream options. I had recently moved back home and was looking to get back in the portrait saddle. Fell in love with Binky’s sweet expression.

Just a tad more tweaking where Ginger nestles into Wheeler’s hind leg, the table lamp base and a wee bit more on the leather pillow Wheeler is draped over, and that should be it. Happy with the direction of this piece and the colors. Frustrated by the level of focus required in parts and my need to stop to take breaks for my brain eye coordination sake. Lol.

Lucky to have received permission from music photographer Jim Marshall. Gifted a wood burned portrait in trade. Interesting guy with interesting work. These wood burned portraits took around a month as I was raising a family & cleaning evenings. My burner’s rheostat allows for fine control. Stopped years ago due to unsolved fading issues.
