On days like today I think a lot about Zaromb where my grandma grew up. My grandma never spoke of it. They left in the 1920s, most family did not (they mostly left Zaromb but not Europe). Zaromb was just on the Soviet side of the divide; the Jews of Zaromb helped many Jews fleeing from the Nazis, until they no longer could and no one was there to help them.
