For anyone after a #Psion Agenda-like experience on a #MobileLinux #PDA, I've just released v0.2.9 of #Pygenda (alpha, WIP!).

v0.2.9 adds two nice new features: repeats like "last Monday in May" and todo item due dates.

I run it on my #GeminiPDA, but it's written in Python/GTK3 so should run on similar keyboard devices. Would love to hear from anyone running it on a #PinePhone, #FXTec #Pro1x, #GPD, #eeePC, #Zaurus, or other!

Unfortunately it doesn't work correctly, and the Zaurus battery is not really holding a charge. The Sharp Zaurus was a handheld #Linux device. There was some software for it, it was fairly useful for the time. It one of the first devices to also have a SD card, and CF card slot - There was even a CF wifi card for it - Pretty interesting device. Too bad it's not as useful as it once was.

Upgraded my Sharp #Zaurus SL-C3100 to #NetBSD 10.0-BETA. Nice that it's still supported. The internal hard disk seems to be defective, so I'm running from SD.
Not recommended, I know :(

The #Zaurus #SL-5000D got me into #wardriving early in life. I, unfortunately, don't have too many photos of that era, but here is my C800 with an SMC wifi card...doing stuff

TIL that #NetBSD-current still supports the Sharp #Zaurus.

The device is still great as a Personal Information Manager, audio/video player, ebook reader, portable linux shell, etc. Nice device for accessing systems via terminal.

@fitheach@mstdn.io Thanks for sharing the pic and your memories. I still have 2 Zaurii (SL-5500, like yours and an SL-C3100) and charged them up this past weekend. The batteries are not great, but the devices still work. They are currently not in production and are part of my personal archives.
