My biggest concern is that Nissan's glacial roll-out of this car has sapped any excitement around it.

These "new" models selling this year look exactly like the prototype that was shown in September 2020. Who wants to spend $50K–$60K on a car that feels like it's already in need of a mid-cycle refresh?

The "new" Nissan Z was unveiled in August 2021, after almost a year of the near-identical protoype making photo op appearances at car shows.

I still haven't seen any on the streets. Not a single one.

That means 3 things are probably happening:
1. Nissan is having supply chain problems
2. Dealership markups are killing sales.
3. There isn't much demand for them.
