Here is the first line in his negative review of Mastodon:

No joke.

He didn’t try it out.

I’m guessing he wasn’t paid by mastodon or the #fediverse hence the ridiculous “review.”

Great write-up on what's happening with #RedHat and the change of #licensing to its #linux distribution by @sjvn for #ZDNet - his take is that while it's not a license violation, it's breaking the spirit of the license.

My only surprise here is how long it took Red Hat to take a more profit-oriented approach - aligning it more closely with the IBM ethos.

@sysop408 @DXMacGuffin Except that #ElonMusk has literally made it impossible to verify facts about #Twitter by firing the entire communications team. He did that deliberately so there was no way to get information about Twitter except from him, & no way to ask questions. That is 100% his fault, and not the fault of people taking the information he sends out at face value, whether that be me or a journalist at #ZDNet who also can't verify past the information we've been given by Twitter.

We can both be more responsible stewards of the information we share & still not absolve Musk of culpability.

I've no sympathy for #Twitter, but the "telephone game" is a problem for anyone who's been misquoted to a mob that runs with it. I'm saying this as someone who's trended on Twitter when someone w/lots of fans did that to me.

Twitter's not innocent, but the #ZDNet writer did us no favors by not verifying facts first.

No excuses. We must have better habits.
