While @zemarmot is tinkering inside action code, they had a look at being able to search for generic GEGL operations, such as third-party made filters, a.k.a. "GEGL plug-ins" (currently, you have to open "Filters > Generic > GEGL Operations…" then search in a dropdown list).
The idea is to dynamically create actions from GEGL ops, which can then be used in menus, action search, etc.

Here it is (still demo code, #ZeMarmot project will merge later a clean version).

@ianp5a @GIMP To be fair, personally I prefer to do a keyboard search, but for sure, it's all about personal preferences. For people who prefer menus, it should be useful (sure hope so, that's why I implemented this! 😜).

I know our artist at #ZeMarmot team is also quite happy with this new menu-discovery display. 😃

For the fifth year in a row, Aryeom (#ZeMarmot's film director) teaches 🤓 illustration 🎨 with #GIMP software 💻 to 16 students at CY Cergy Paris University.

She is currently giving homework feedback/review. Each time I assist to this, I am impressed by the quality of the feedback/advice these lucky students get! 🍀

Without inbetween, then with inbetween. frame rate not respected.
The full xcf file has more than 400 layers already and getting more. Also it is bigger dimension than usual because of panning. So GIMP has a hard time to save.

Last week, we repainted and reorganized our office in a nice ecological algae-based white paint. We don't do this often, but it's nice to work in a fresh place once in a while.
Good for animating more #ZeMarmot marmots and fixing more @GIMP bugs ! 😜

We started working on #ZeMarmot's music with ORL (@ORL_AMMD), our awesome composer. Collaboration mostly through Internet though we met once (and forgot to take a photo together !).

Instead : photo of Aryeom when she was deep in reviewing the initial compo draft by ORL 🎹
