Zencastr customer support was fantastic, and they were able to rescue one of my two interviews from their backup files!
🎉🎉🎉
They said the problem was likely my guest's slow internet connection. It's weird because our interview didn't have choppy audio or video, but Zencastr had a screenshot of the data on their backend showing it was slow.
I'm just thrilled we don't have to do the interview a third time!
Hey, podcasters! I had Zencastr fail twice in a row today for interviews. I've never had a problem with it before, but I have another interview in the morning, and I'm too wary to use it again until I figure out what happened.
So...what are your favorite tools for recording an audio and video interview these days?
[In case you're wondering, the first time, the guest's file wouldn't download, and the second time, it downloaded but didn't have audio. P.A.I.N.F.U.L.]
Honestly in these past few years I have been recording with various tools as a guest or host. From #zoom to #squadcast, #zencastr, and more. I still find that the quality and overall experience to be best in @RiversidedotFM@twitter.com
