It is happening! I am starting to use my grandad's camera, it's been unused for 35 years, so wish me luck 🍀.

This chunky Soviet beast is a Prinzflex 500E, a UK version of the popular Zenit E badged for distribution by the now defunct high street chain Dixons.

Starting off with black and white to get started and figure out if this old camera even works! Picked up a Leningrad 4 light meter as well.

And here it is! The -E. It even has the phrase "Made In The USSR" inscribed on its base. Also, like I said, I'm incredibly lucky that after so long the selenium light meter (the rectangular block on the front) still works perfectly!

My partner's father recently found his old -E in his attic in France and gave it to me. After almost 20 years of not being used, I took it for a spin to test it with some Ilford HP5 in , Kent. Very happy with this particular shot, taken in August 2022 but with the feel of something a lot older. Loved every second of using the Zenit, which is still in perfect working order (even the Selenium light meter).

am zum -Foto waagerecht übers Brückengeländer, kann man machen, aber der Horizont liegt dann auf der optisch unglaublich schwachen Stitch-Linie der beiden Objektive. Trotz Lagesensor der Kamera werden und in der Projektion von der Hardware vorgegeben. Aufgrund der schwachen Auflösung kann man nicht korrigieren ohne die Qualität final zu killen, also braucht es einen parametrierbaren -Viewer. Besser so nicht. pano.stoppedphoto.com/pannellu
