I never actually wrote an #introduction on here. Mostly because I hate writing about myself like this. But here goes.

I'm a programmer and #freesoftware enthusiast. I've been using #linux as my main desktop and #emacs as my... everything... since 2008. I started off with a lot of distro hopping, my journey took me through #ubuntu, #fedora, #zenwalk, #gentoo, and #exherbo before settling on #archlinux, now with #guix on top.

#Zenwalk #Linux schafft es nicht mal seine Webseite per #https erreichbar zu machen. Damit sind sie gleich ausgeschieden.

Obwohl es für mein Ansinnen nach Einfachheit scheinbar die ideale Distribution ist, stolperte ich noch nicht über #Zenwalk #Linux. Das liegt sicherlich daran, dass es auf #Slackware basiert und ich froh bin mich gerade einigermaßen zufriedenstellend in der .deb-Welt zurechtgefunden habe.

Aber die Neugier ist entfacht und dürstet nach Stillung 😂

Last week’s release of #Zenwalk-15 was reason for me to look if there are still active #Slackware-based distros out there. And: Yes, 7 of them.
Remarkable, as the basis SW isn't evolved anymore for years.

Die letzwöchige Veröffentlichung von #Zenwalk-15 war für mich Anlass zu schauen, ob es noch aktive #Slackware-basierte Distros gibt. Ja, 7 Stück sogar.
Bemerkenswert, da die Basis SW schon seit Jahren nicht mehr weiter entwickelt wird.
