Seems like #ZeroMQ would also be related. https://zeromq.org
Eleven years ago I volunteered to add native #Infiniband / #RDMA support to #ZeroMQ. At the time I was working on high-performance networking and I thought it was a nice challenge... but shortly afterwards I landed my job at @mozilla and never finished it.
Since then I've been contacted multiple times by people who wished to finish my work but none succeeded. Last time was yesterday. Maybe I should give it a spin again: https://zeromq-dev.zeromq.narkive.com/a3hbU2H1/contributing-native-infiniband-rdma-support-to-0mq

Oh, snap. #WhereIsMySurprisedFace. Seems that #LucaApp uses #JBaseZ85, a #ZeroMQ encoding library with the copyright line deleted. Oops. https://github.com/thesimj/jBaseZ85/issues/1

There is a great (at least that's how I remember it...) talk by Pieter #Hintjens where he explains the #C4 process for managing open source projects like #ZeroMQ
My web search skills are failing me, though... I *thought* it was a #PyCon talk but I could be wrong. Ring a bell to anyone?
after spending a whole weekend implementing a personal project with #zeromq im pleasantly blown away, wonder why it’s not used more?
#zeromq ont produit des specs sur leur modèle de contribution. Il a pour objectif " The number one goal is size and health of the community--not technical quality, not profits, not performance, not market share. The goal is simply the number of people who contribute to the project. The science here is simple: the larger the community, the more accurate the results."

I can showoff some screenshots from my very unfinished, unprogressed 🐌 multiplayer rpg.
I am using #python, #pygame for the client gui and #zeromq for the multiplayer stuff.
This week I made GUI show distinct images for the player and other players. I also let the server place th3em a random positions.
That's is all, no movement, no chat and no real map (yet).
So, there's still plenty of work to do! 🙂
