Habs bisher nur mit einer #PhilipsHue bulb und dem mitgelieferten Dimmer/Taster probiert. Das war per #zigbee2mqtt super easy. Das hat in der Geräteliste angezeigt, dass es ein #OTA Update gibt, dann Klick und los gings. 🤷

Unfortunately I can't find a shop in the EU. I would like to test one of these before ordering a bunch. But I'm located in Germany and with shipping and tax included it's about $40 plus €=>$ currency exchange fee. 🙄

Seems a few folks have been interested in these. I'd heard about these Powertag from eFIXX youtube a while back. I had been following the #zigbee2mqtt Github issue about getting them integrated.

More recently a Reddit post introduced me to the Tuya SPM01 devices which are a very similar idea to the Schnieder Powertags. This re-sparked my interest.

Anyway, the SPM01-U1TZ is very similar but I've not found this exact model available to purchase.

@michal Tak zatím to běží necelé dva týdny. Kromě ztráty komunikace se snímačem teploty+vlhkosti (asi měl slabý signál - stejně ho musím dát jinam) to běží v pohodě. Mám tam 3 zařízení (2 snímače, 1 zásuvku), napojení na #zigbee2mqtt, odtud na lokální #Mosquitto bridgované na Mosquitto na serveru (tam je záznam do #PostgreSQL). Teď ještě udělat tu automatizační část...

Today's #weedling and #hydrotower combo update:

The tower is waiting for Cal-Mag because @WordenPond is brilliant. (It also explains what keeps happening to our squashes in the yard.) Other than the deficiency, it is doing OK and the one cucumber continues to grow in it's odd gherkin-water-balloon way. Lots of male flowers but only a few fem still. 🤞

The weedlings are happy, and I finally found the spare #switchbot switch to replace the #securifi peanut on their grow light. That should make it MUCH more reliable.

The securifi plugs do have some serious bugs, but once set up they were generally reliable for years. Recently they have been suffering the increasing instability in the #homeassistant #zigbee2mqtt stack, exacerbated with HA's visceral hatred of "retry that obviously failed command". I'll likely reuse them in places where on/off is less critical, or as always-on power sensors.

I use a #Zigbee network at home, but I wanted to migrate from a #ZHA controller to a #Zigbee2MQTT controller. At first I thought I could have both controllers plugged in to a machine running #HomeAssistant during device migration, but only through failure I realized I have to unplug the #ZHA controller first. There is no way for them to coexist, even though they'd have distinct channels, panIds and other parameters.

Il marche nickel, je l'utilise avec un
dongle Sonoff et #Zigbee2Mqtt.
Les données partent sur mon broker #mqtt (#Mosquitto), et sont ensuite consommées par 2 services : #HomeAssistant, et #mqtt2prometheus.

Parce que j'aime bien avoir la conso dans Home Assistant, mais je préfère la souplesse de #Grafana pour la visualisation de l'historique, et avoir la donnée disponible dans mes dashboards 🙂

I am very impressed by the maturity of #zigbee2mqtt, it even updates the Ikea TRÅDFRI kitchen lights, I used in 'dumb mode' for a very long time. Man, I should have gone into that #homeassistant rabbit hole earlier.

@alwynispat @stefan I use several #Aqara products here, but w/o their hub. They are all paired to a #Zigbee USB stick on my Raspberry Pi running #zigbee2mqtt and #HomeBridge. Works really good – except the vibration sensors. They tend to loose connection and fail to reconnect for weeks. BTW the Aqara FP1 and FP2 are game changers in #HomeAutomation!

I have a couple Peanut plugs and my zigbee mesh is solid. I bought them specifically to use as repeaters.

As far as updates, I've been able to update them using #zigbee2mqtt

Na toll, gestern erlaubt das Ikea #FYRTUR ein Update einzuspielen.
Seitdem funktiniert es über #Zigbee2MQTT/#HomeAssistant nicht mehr.

If you're re-pairing anyway, since changing the #Zigbee channel requires re-pairing everything, consider changing #zigbee2mqtt to use a channel that's not overlapping your 2.4GHz Wifi.

I go into more details at https://unixorn.github.io/post/zigbee-and-zwave-setup-tip/, but the TL;DR is that your best choices are using wifi channels 1 or 6 with zigbee channel 24, wifi 6 or 11 with zigbee channel 11, or wifi 1 or 11 with zigbee channel 18.

It's taken a while to reach the land down under... 😊

But finally, the VINDSTYRKA replaces my aging hacked VINDRIKTNING.

Connecting to @homeassistant via #zigbee2mqtt was a breeze and is currently automatically updating the VINDSTYRKA firmware.

Home automation chat: I’ve had to ditch using the Conbee II Zigbee coordinator as it’s just so damn unreliable. Things just kept dropping off the network (which is shite when your heating relies on it). Replaced it with a Sonoff stick and the network functions perfectly.

German engineering: excellent only when based on climate-destroying fossil fuels. 👍
