Watched Seijun Suzuki’s Zigeunerweisen (dir. Seijun Suzuki, 1980), a gorgeously-shot, rather deranged historical drama with lots of enigmatic tropes: a kinship of opposites, romantic obsessions and doppelgängers, and small inexplicable twists in fate and character relationships.
