I am an artist and professor of Creative Technologies at Virginia Tech. In my work, I focus on the ways technologies of visualization and control intersect with and threaten #trans lives.

I work in #creativecode, #sculpture, #writing, #artistbooks, and more. Lately I have been doing a lot of #webdev for my projects and in my teaching.

I get a variety every month or so from special interest groups and schools. When a new copy comes in, I just throw the old one away.🤷‍♂️

If there's any info I need/want to see from old issues, I either cut it out or look it up on the Net

My kindergartner made a new zine about shapes you can make with the aperiodic monotile the Hat (shoutout to @Ayliean ), I have a new zine of cat drawings I made for said kindergartner’s lunchbox, and @emalfo has a new zine of bingo-hunts she made for said kindergartner on museum visits. So expensive but so tempted. I don't have space for any more book shelves, but I do have a little corner of open space this would fit in. And I do need more storage space for #zines

I know 300$ is a lot for a spinner rack, but also not like I can find any others in the right size. They're either made for magazines and way too large for #TTRPG or made for gift cards and way too small...

16:00 - 17:30: Migration Zine Workshop with Vero ENG/DE/ES
A personal workshop reflecting on our journey as migrants and collecting our memories in a mini-(fan)zine using our favorite media: Notes, lists, drawings, poems, collages and even songs. No previous experience is necessary, you just need to be willing to experiment, improvise and share.

17:30 - 19:00: #Trans #BIPOC Writing Session with Casa Kua ENG/DE.
For people who are both trans and BIPOC and are looking for a safe space to share their work, write together, and discuss texts. We write in all languages and genres. #NonBinary and gender non-conforming people are welcome and invited.

Then from 7pm onward our evening program starts - a small Open Mic with live drawing, organized by @shine.chawi"

OKAY. My three "side hustle" goal projects for the week:

📓 Assemble and print zines (since Paper Plains Zine Con in Lawrence, KS is this next weekend!)

📹 Create a few "C++ [topic] in 60 seconds" shorts, queue up on YouTube.

🖌️ Create some art for an itchio asset pack. (Perhaps bases and parts to build Visual Novel characters? RPG characters? Something...)

💡 And since I'm gonna do class prep anyway, that all goes on my website, too.
