Thereby, we zoom in on how discursive exchanges between Zondag met Lubach satirists and regular media professionals reflect and shape the (developing) understandings of journalistic logics in satire production.
We observed three phases of identity construction for the show. Initially, #ZondagMetLubach entered the Dutch media landscape as a comedic and still non-journalistic outsider.

Little is still known about the intentions with which satirists produce their content. We complement these insights — not with interviews but — with an analysis of media appearances (2014–2020) by the host and staff members of the popular Dutch satire show #ZondagMetLubach (now: #deavondshow).

[en]: a Dutch satire show (in a john oliver-type vein) dedicated a large part of an episode to facebook's evils, and made a fb event to delete their accounts, mostly bc the hypocrisy of all the news sites that wrote on it but are still on fb. this wednesday they're deleting their accounts.
