This week our zooarchaeologist is visiting #Iphes, in Tarragona, to learn about #dental #microwear using transmitted microscopy and analyze the first samples for our project! The results will be the first step to reconstructing #animalecology and #enviroment of #Paleolithic coastal Lebanon 🤠

The past week has been very busy but fruitful!
Our team temporarily separated to perform different tasks.

Our zooarchaeologist spent the entire week at the Museum of Lebanese Prehistory in #Beirut to select fauna samples for isotopic analysis.

The rest of the team continued to survey the Awalii River valleys, covering their entire extent and discovering new sites with great archaeological potential.
