Still on the trail for purchasing a new tent. Some of the ZPacks are candidates, but I still have questions:
- How well they hold up in wind?
- Because they are cooler, would one now need something warmer to sleep in? I.e lighter tent -> heavier sleeping bag/quilt.
A lot of people who rave about them tend to be thru-hikers, with access to reasonable sites to pitch a tent. If I look for where I would normally use a 3-season tent, the terrain tend to be uneven, stoney or clumps of stingy mountain grass.
I am tempted, but not convinced yet.
