I'm excited to be receiving a moonlite focuser this week that I managed to get on the cheap. It'll be tough to fit it in the imaging train with an oag, but I've got some hope it'll work out. Hopefully, I can find some cheap chroma or astronomik filters and maybe an asi2600mm to wrap it up. Those are future things though. #nina #moonlite #zwo #astrophotography

Markarian’s Chain contains at least 7 different galaxy members that appear to move coherently: notably 2 huge, bright lenticular galaxies known as M84 and M86. Globular Cluster (M22). These look like a blob in the night sky but they are made up of thousands, possibly millions of stars. Really bizarre objects. Why these form near galaxies is unknown.

It's an exciting day when new astro gear shows up, and I've been having more than my fair share of that lately. A brand new ZWO AM5 strain-wave gear mount showed up on my porch today. It has the same carrying capacity as my EQ6-R pro but weighs 1/5th as much. Perfect for a life on the road. I got it all set up in NINA and ready to go. Now to wait out the clouds so I can test it out for real. #astrophotography #zwo #am5
